About
Hi, I'm Garrett.
I got into video by accident — in 2017, I started making my own marketing videos for a detailing business I owned in North Carolina, and watched it grow almost entirely from that content. I picked up a camera not long after, at first just to document my own travels.
When I moved to Sedona, I started doing marketing for a local resort, and that's where the skills turned into a craft. I've been here for over five years now — drawn in by the landscape, the people, and even the weather — and it's shaped how I see and shoot everything since.
The name Evoking Truth comes from something I kept noticing: people and brands often need to actually see their real selves before anyone else can. Photo and film are how I try to do that — less about making something look good, more about making it look true.
Today that means brand and business films, real estate photo & video around Sedona, and a limited number of weddings each year. My approach is quiet and observational — I'd rather catch a real moment than stage one. I shoot with professional equipment, but more than that, I aim to be part of the day rather than someone standing outside it.
