Evoking Truth

Process

How it goes.

Four steps. You do a little at each one; I do the rest. The film is decided before anyone picks up a camera.

  1. A quiet conversation in window light

    01 / 04

    Discovery

    One conversation. No deck.

    You
Tell me who this is for and what they should feel when it's over.
    Me
Ask the questions that turn that into a brief: the audience, the moment, the one thing it has to say.
  2. Storyboard frames laid out on a desk

    02 / 04

    Treatment

The film, written before it exists.

    You
Read it in ten minutes and tell me what's wrong.
    Me
Write the mood, the shots, and what we're deliberately not going to do — so shoot day is execution, not discovery.
  3. Red rock at golden hour

    03 / 04

    Shoot Day

Quiet, early, and out of the way.

    You
Show up as yourself and forget the camera is there.
    Me
Arrive before the light does, stay small in the room, and get the real version of the day.
  4. Behind the scenes on a shoot day

    04 / 04

    The Content Engine

One day, a quarter of content.

    You
Post, and keep posting, without scrambling for something to say.
    Me
Cut the day into a library — the film, the stills, the short pieces — and keep it filling on a schedule.
